Sally creates a really nice mood in the class with her friendly but firm teaching techniques, you feel motivated to do well and keep improving but not in a pressured or competitive way. Each exercise has an excellent explanation, both in terms of physical benefits and technique. The use of balls, foam rollers and bands keep things interesting and challenging. I have attended the class through a pregnancy, with lots of special attention and care during the latter months, and now ongoing, post baby, with great results in shifting that dreaded muffin middle! Flexibility has been great; if unable to attend a course any week, Sally does her best to find you a replacement slot so you can keep up to date and fit."

Martha Bruce: "I have been attending Sally King's class at the Pilates Room for about a year now and feel much stronger and more toned than I have for years. I had thought my pelvic floor and the existence of anything resembling stomach muscles were things of the past but not any more! I now feel fitter and am much more conscious of trying to maintain a good posture and of using my core body strength in the various tasks and activities I do. As well as exercises to develop our core body strength, we spend time in the class bending and stretching which in itself is very satisfying and something I would not otherwise find time to do. The class is very small, relaxed, personal and friendly and I genuinely look forward to attending each week as it is a bit of 'me time' squeezed in between a busy work and family life."

However, the greatest testimonial is that I keep getting asked if I have lost weight! It's certainly strengthened my core muscles, which has made my Jeans fit better. I can also say my posture has significantly improved, I stand taller and am aware of not rounding my shoulders."

Graham Mallett: "I've been attending the Monday night pilates class for over a year and found it incredibly helpful in alleviating and controlling the back pain that I used to suffer from. I had a slipped disc and was referred to pilates classes by the physiotherapist, I've now been pain free for over nine months. Laura's classes are always varied and the exercises are tailored to the needs of the individuals and their particular requirements. I look forward to the classes each week and I always feel a lot better afterwards."

She is very careful to ensure we do the exercises properly and gives advice and guidance to help us improve - which in turn, increases our levels of confidence.
